Willie is a hamster who appears in Episode 4236 of Sesame Street.
He belongs to Chris' cousin, who is off at camp and has left Willie in Chris' care. Unfortunately, he's unable to stay in the apartment due to Susan's allergies. Alan is also unable to let him stay in Hooper's Store, citing health regulations in having animals in establishments selling food. "One minute I'm kinda cute, the next I'm a menace to society," says Willie.
At that moment, Oscar the Grouch (with Hiram and Burt in tow) arrives to make a delivery from his dirt service, Dirtballs. While Oscar thinks the dirt will cause a mess, Willie couldn't be more pleased. He claims that for rodents such as himself, dirt is a natural place to make a shelter in a non-domestic setting. He gleefully dives into a box of dirt (which he claims is like a beach house in Malibu), solving Chris' problem, much to Oscar's dismay.
