Wilhelm Helmrich (1957-1991) was a German puppeteer who performed Finchen on Sesamstrasse from 1986 to 1991.
Helmrich was a principal puppeteer on Hallo Spencer from the show's start in 1979 until his death in 1991, as Spencer's assistant Elvis. He also performed several recurring and minor characters, including the devil figure Nero, village visitor Egidius Soltanelle in 1986, Kalle Akademix on the spin-off news magazine style series Achterbahn, and others.
