Ted May (1949-2020) was a longtime director and associate director for Sesame Street and related productions. May's directing credits include other puppet-driven series such as Nickelodeon's Allegra’s Window, Between the Lions, and the original run of Crank Yankers.
He won an Emmy for Outstanding Directing In A Children's Series in 2006, along with Victor DiNapoli, Lisa Simon, Jim Martin, Ken Diego, Emily Squires, and Kevin Clash.
