

Ted Danson (b. 1947) is an actor who became one of the highest paid performers in television for his role as Sam Malone on Cheers. After his tenure on the famous sitcom, he has starred in a several other television shows, including the sitcom Becker, the HBO comedy Bored to Death, and the long-running CSI (taking over as lead investigator D. B. Russell from 2011 onward). For the first season of Damages, he played primary client Arthur Frobisher (appearing occasionally thereafter) and had a recurring stint on Curb Your Enthusiasm as himself.
In 1989, Danson guest starred on The Jim Henson Hour episode 102. In that episode, he performed the voice for a Muppet character, Ted.
In 1996, he starred as Lemuel Gulliver in the Jim Henson Company's TV production of Gulliver's Travels. The following year, Danson starred in the Creature Shop-effects film Loch Ness.
