Sinister Sam is a mean-looking cowboy who appears in several Old West sketches on Sesame Street. He seems angry and mean, but he always turns out to be harmless.
He originally appeared in season 3, then made two comebacks in season 10 and season 20.
While Sam usually wore a red plaid shirt under his black vest, it was changed to a striped plaid shirt in his season 10 comeback appearance.
