Samir is Rike's friend in the Sesamstrasse spin-off series Eine Möhre für Zwei. He appeared in Das Geheimnis der Blumenfabrik, which was later split up into ten episodes of the series.
Samir is a local Hamburg grocer of Indian descent, and instrumental in helping Pferd, Wolle, Finchen and Günni save squirrel Knuspel's park and home from demolition.
