"Sad Song," by The Muppet Movie composers Kenny Ascher and Paul Williams, was performed by Williams as the closing number on episode 108 of The Muppet Show.
He was accompanied by Rowlf on the piano, Zoot on saxophone, Floyd on bass, and Animal on drums, and was backed by a chorus of Muppets that included George the Janitor, Gonzo, Wanda, Hilda, Janice, Scooter, Brewster, and Miss Piggy.
