
Richard Moll (1943-2023) was a character actor best known for playing bailiff Bull Shannon on the sitcom Night Court. Moll played Hoagie in the Creature Shop-effects movie The Flintstones.
Before and after his Night Court stint, the physically imposing Moll was a frequent guest star, often as thugs, bikers, gruff authority figures, or monsters on Happy Days, Remington Steele, Highlander, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (as a cyclops), Weird Science (as Frankenstein's Monster), Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, and Smallville. He recurred on the Nickelodeon series 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd as a mysterious drifter. Film credits include Jingle All the Way, National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1, The Dungeonmaster, But I'm a Cheerleader, Scary Movie 2, and Ralph Bakshi's rotoscope animated feature American Pop.
From the 1990s onward, Moll was also an active voice artist, heard on Batman: The Animated Series (as Harvey Dent/Two-Face), Spider-Man (replacing Martin Landau as the Scorpion), Mighty Max (Norman), and guest roles on Superman, Justice League, and Freakazoid!
