Lyneea is a Denean astronomer on the planet that Moya crash lands on in the Farscape episode "I, E.T."
Lyneea lives with her son Fostro in the countryside on the planet Denea near Kazda's Swamp where Moya lands. Interested in space for most of her life, she only theorized the existence of extraterrestrial life, so when she meets John Crichton, she is shocked, frightened, and excited at the discovery.
Lyneea's research is funded by her government's military, but when they come looking for Crichton, she hides him, afraid of what they would do to him. She later learns that the crew on Moya are escaped prisoners and becomes hesitant to help Crichton and D'Argo, who has become captured by the military. She ultimately decides to help them, and she and her son lure the military into the wrong direction.
