Lugsy is Bean Bunny's big brother in the 1986 special The Tale of the Bunny Picnic. Lugsy is initially tough on Bean, constantly dismissing his wild imagination and excluding him for being "too little."
He rejects Bean's claims of seeing a dog in the lettuce patch, thinking he's imagining again, until he sees that Bean was right all along. Lugsy then takes charge of Bean's plan to thwart the dog and, declaring himself the hero of the family, volunteers to sneak off to retrieve the sleeping potion from great grandmother's house. However, his cover is blown and he finds himself in the dog's clutches, leaving Bean and the other bunnies to save him. Later, when Bean leads them in driving the allergic farmer away, Lugsy realizes how "big" his little brother is on the inside.
The puppet can be seen in The Jim Henson Hour episode "Outer Space" as one of the residents of Planet Cutetron in the "Space Guy" sketch.
