SCENE 2 | Everybody is out and about with their dogs today, including Linda and Barkley. Big Bird informs Telly and Baby Bear that today is "Sesame Street Dog Day," where dog and dog owners get together and play. Telly wants to join the festivities, until he realizes he doesn't have a dog. He doesn't feel like participating and walks off, sad. Baby Bear wishes he could perk up his best friend, wishing he could be a dog instead of a bear. |

SCENE 2 cont'd | Suddenly, The Fairy Dogperson appears to grant Baby Bear's wish, despite Big Bird's concerns. With a wave his his magic dog bone, Baby Bear becomes a dog! As the Dogperson vanishes to tend to his next client, Baby Bear asks Big Bird to take him to Telly and to refer to him as "Precious Pete" as to not give away who he truly is. |

SCENE 2 cont'd | Big Bird finds Telly sulking and introduces him to his new dog, who now goes by (because of Big Bird's stammering) "Baby...Ooo...Precious Pete." Telly is elated and becomes happier when he learns Baby Bear was behind this. He wants to go thank him, but Big Bird instead recommends he take Pete to see Gina. |

SCENE 2 cont'd | Gina finds that Pete is perfectly healthy, aside from some fleas, and recommends a dose of flea powder. As she and Telly leave the room, Baby Bear bristles at being covered in powder. He decides to continue his charade for the sake of Telly's happiness and gets covered in flea powder (which makes him sneeze). |

SCENE 2 cont'd | As they exit the clinic, Telly wants to bring Pete to Baby Bear. Big Bird instead convinces him to play catch. Baby Bear loves playing catch with Telly, only he is unable to use his paws and gets bonked on the head by the ball. As Telly goes to get it, Baby Bear tells Big Bird he doesn't want to catch the ball, given its filth. To keep his ruse continuing, he goes along with the game and catches the ball (despite the taste). |

SCENE 2 cont'd | Telly wants to bring Pete to Baby Bear at last, but Big Bird suggests he give him some food now. Baby Bear communicates to Big Bird that he'd like some porridge, but Telly insists that dogs prefer dog food and fetches a bowl. Baby Bear slowly moves in for a taste, before speaking out over it. Telly realizes his dog is actually Baby Bear, who assumes Telly is upset now. Telly is instead happy to have a best friend go to such great lengths to please him. He then makes a wish of his own to the Fairy Dogperson to restore Baby Bear to the way he was. The trio, in need some a game to play, now pretend to be dogs. |
