SCENE 4 | Maria tries to avoid watching another one of The Amazing Mumford's magic tricks, (having quacked like a duck the last time she was a participant). She hides inside Hooper's Store while Mumford does his trick anyway, attempting to shrink a big tree into a small one. He succeeds, but Maria steps out of the store revealing that the trick worked on her, too - she's a child again! When he tries the trick to reverse the damage, only the tree grows back to its original size. He leaves to find a solution. |

Gordon thinks that a task more mundane had occupied her, so they ask a nearby little girl where Maria could be. The little girl turns out to be Maria and explains what Mumford did. Telly is relieved that there's a reasonable explanation for everything, while a dumbfounded Gordon looks in the sky for balloons... |

He starts reading about another one of the tricks in the book, but everyone quietly leaves before he can start anything. "I made everyone disappear - amazing!" Mumford says, and Maria announces the sponsors. |
