"Aria" (as they call her) points out that without the letter M, the Grouches couldn't have one of their favorite things - mud. The Grouches switch gears and start protesting the letter T instead, simply because they like protesting. Maria quietly comments to the viewer that she'll avoid telling them another of their favorite words (trash) also begins with T. |

He flashes back to one of their special Friday lunches, where they would bring in customary foods and share them. Big Bird then recalls meeting a sparrow who was quite different from him, but still a good friend - or rather, a "good egg" as birds put it. |
