Big Bird is conflicted with his emotions and isn't sure how he's supposed to feel. He consults the adults and finds that they're sad too, because they are going to miss Big Bird. Big Bird suggests that maybe he shouldn't go, but they help him to feel better as they know he'll have lots of fun. Big Bird thanks them for helping explain his feelings and returns to his nest and reassures Snuffy that it's okay to be happy and sad... which is also a good reason for the both of them to cry together. |

- The week of "Camp Echo Rock" episodes were taped over a 6-day period in August 1982 at Bear Mountain in New York.[1]
- This was the only episode of the story arc not to be repeated in season 16, due to the street scenes with Mr. Hooper, a point after which it had been explained on the show that the character had passed away.
