SCENE 1 | Big Bird decides to visit Luis at the Fix-It Shop. He ends up surprising Luis in the middle of repairing a television, which blows up in his face. Luis seethes as he tells him to leave, so Big Bird decides to visit David instead. He goes through the back door of Hooper's Store to greet him, accidentally bumping into David as he and Maria restock the shelves. Big Bird wants to help, but David slams the door in his face in frustration. |

He realizes if he takes those with him, he technically wouldn't be running away. He takes inventory on what he has when Luis, David, and Maria follow the ropes and confront him. Big Bird is still upset with them, demanding one good reason for not leaving. Maria has that reason: he's not old enough to cross the street by himself yet. |
