SCENE 1 Gordon, in a melodramatic voiceover, searches all over Sesame Street for the letter U. Over the sounds of wind and wolf howls, Gordon despairs at finding no Us on the Pet Shop sign or at Hooper's Store. Not even behind the magic opening door in the yard. Finally, he finds Us in a couple words on the mailbox.
