Dear Earth

Dear Earth is a streaming event hosted by YouTube to celebrate Earth and what is needed to reverse climate change. The 100-minute YouTube Originals special premiered on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2PM (PT).

Kermit the Frog delivered the opening speech of the special. Later, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, backed by some Muppet flowers, gave a performance of "Mr. Blue Sky." The scenery for the song was made entirely from recycled or repurposed materials.^[1]

The special also featured appearances by President Barack Obama, Desmond Tutu, Billie Eilish, and SpongeBob SquarePants.
