Dave Housman worked for Jim Henson's Creature Shop specializing in character controls and computer systems. He shared in the 1992 Academy Awards Scientific and Engineering Award for the Henson Digital Performance System.
He demonstrated the HDPS technique in footage promoting the theatrical release of The Witches.
