The Urhaalan Valley was an area in northwestern Terisiare during the Dark Age of Dominaria.
Description
It was located near the edge of the Colekgan Mountains, across a wide flat plain from the Eln Forest, about a week's travel from the fishing village of Shingol, and 500 miles due west of Ronom Glacier, with the straits of Lat-Nam further south down the coast. The Urhaalan Valley was populated by goblins, and a tribe of minotaurs that shared its name. The Urhaalan minotaurs were divided into clans, like Utyeehn, Helmhein, and Faasir, and houses like Mytaarun.[1]
History
During the Dark Age, the minotaurs of Urhaalan Valley came into conflict with the elves of Eln Forest through the schemes of the sorceress Sacumon. This escalated into an all-out war, which decimated the population of the Urhaalan minotaurs, eradicating both the Helmhein and Faasir clans. Individuals killed in this war included Mehonvo, Adterlo, Padarno and Mytaru. The essence of the legendary hero Tiyint was also awakened into a stone colossus and brought into the war on the side of the Urhaalan but eventually turned on them until its deactivation.[1]
During the onset of the Ice Age, Urhaalan Valley was slowly covered and destroyed by the widening Great Glacier.
