Kim Nayun (Hangul: 김나윤), better known by the momonym Nayun, is a singer under MLD Entertainment and currently a member of the girl group Momoland. She was born on July 31, 1998 in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea.
History
Family and education
Nayun is an only child. She attended Seoul Sangam Elementary School, and after that Sangam Middle School. Alongside that, she studied Broadcasting Entertainment at Seoul Performing Arts High School. She is also majoring in Musical Theatre at Myongji University.[1]
Carrer
In 2016, she became a contestant on Mnet's reality survival show Finding Momoland. She finished the competition in third place, thus becoming a member of the girl group Momoland. The group officially debuted on November 10, 2016 with their first mini album Welcome to Momoland.
Hiatus
On July 1, 2018, MLD Entertainment released a statement revealing that Nayun would be taking a hiatus from the group's activity due to health issues.[2] On September 13, MLD announced that Nayun would return to promotions after recovering from otolithiasis.[3]
Departure
2023
On January 27, She departed from MLD Entertainment, following the contract expiration and signed with MYNEST Company in 2023. [4]
