Shrek is one of the most popular characters in MLGs. His most notable appearances are in MLG Shrek and 420BlazeIt.
History
Origin
Shrek first appeared in the book Shrek! by William Steig. Later, the character eventually starred in a popular movie franchise. He became popular in the YouTube community after the "Shrek is Love, Shrek is Life" videos were created.
MLG
Shrek first appeared MLG Shrek. The video became one of the most popular MLG montages, reaching a few million views. However, it was eventually removed from YouTube, as it was inappropriate for their "Community Gay-lines".
Shrek later appeared in the MLG game, 420BlazeIt, which eventually became Game of the Year. In the swamp level, he is seen trying to shoot the player. After defeating him, it turns out it was merely Spoderman who had his form changed by the Illuminati.
Shrek is the most commonly believed god in MLG. This is a reference to "Shrek is Love, Shrek is Life", in which Shrek was a god.
Mini Shrek
Mini Shrek is a tiny version of Shrek. It is a mystical creature which is rarely caught running very fast across the screen on Camera. Sometimes it hits people or even chases them. A mini-Shrek has even stolen a passing car in a vine. Shrek even became a pet and attended a dog run show.
