Flame is a squirrel who is a priest on Whitewings Island and a past member of the Larchlings.
History
Before the books
Flame was trained as a priest by Brother Candle, Urchin's father. He also conducted the wedding ceremony of Almond and Candle, Urchin's parents.
Urchin and the Heartstone
Flame, as a member of the Larchlings, along with Cedar, helps Queen Larch gain support in secret. He also helps to save and heal Juniper when he and Larch find him washed up on the shore.
After the death of the tyrant king Silverbirch, Larch is made Queen and Flames becomes the priest of Whitewings.
