Agent Thompson is an agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration (with a voice that sounds like Rambo) assigned to bring down a drug dealer named Herrera, and sets up a sting at a men's room along Miami Beach, holding $500,000 of DEA funds to exchange for Herrera's drugs. When he and Herrera go into the men's room, another person, CIA agent Jack Gretsky is waiting, knocks Thompson out and ties him up in a stall "with his pants 'round his ankles", kills Herrera, dumps the drugs in the toilet, and takes the money. Thompson and James "Sonny" Crockett nearly come to blows over Thompson dumping the responsibility for the money to OCB instead of him, as he was the one with the money when Gretsky makes his move.
