- This article is about the unused nest from Metroid Fusion. For the nests from the Metroid Prime series, see War Wasp Hive.

An unnamed brown-colored hive resembling a terrestrial wasp nest exists as an unused sprite in the data of Metroid Fusion. Although it is unused in the final game, the nest has fully programmed behaviors and can be seen in gameplay via hacking.
Description
When reprogrammed back into the game, the wasp nest spawns from an X Parasite and rests on the ceiling at a location near two buzzing flying insects; these insects will follow Samus if she attacks the hive with a missile, although they cause no damage. Once the nest is formed, it spawns an X-infected Kihunter. As long as the nest is active, any free-floating X Parasites can fly to the nest and form another Kihunter.[1]
Trivia
- Although this nest remains unused, a canonical Kihunter Nest is later introduced in Metroid: Other M.
