Talvania is a gaseous planet in the Bermuda System, visited in Metroid Prime: Federation Force. A factory is present on this planet, as well as a power station causing electromagnetic interference. According to the mission briefing, Talvania was once home to an "advanced machine race", but has since fallen into disrepair due to neglect. As there are no signs of a disastrous event, it is theorized that the race simply abandoned their home planet by choice. Enemies include Sentry Missiles, Security Bots and the Generator boss, which may have been inventions of the machine race, left behind by them. The Space Pirates built a base on this planet, underneath an underground gas pocket, as they are unaffected by the gas. The Federation Force destroyed this base by drilling into the ground, and then dropping a bomb down the hole.
This planet is also where the Federation Force encounters Big Metroids bred by the aforementioned Space Pirates and artificially enlarged using the Amplification beam. The Force can also complete the bonus objective of retrieving a Metroid Egg that is forcefully hatched by Sylux in a post-credits cutscene.

"Talvania, the third planet in the Bermuda System, was once home to an advanced machine race. Low-grade orbital scans suggest centuries of neglect. However, there are no signs of any kind of disastrous event. The current theory is that the machines simply abandoned the planet. We would have more detailed scans, but there is some kind of electromagnetic interference coming from the planet, specifically from an old power station.
Your first mission: Stop the electromagnetic interference coming from the station."
