Dynamo

The Dynamo is a room in the Chozo Ruins. It appears in Metroid Prime. It is a tall, roughly round room containing multiple machines and cables and pipes, and a fan beneath a metal grate in the floor. The room contains two Missile Expansions, one low and the other higher up; to collect both, the Missile Launcher and Spider Ball are required.

Missile Expansion

This is found behind the weak metal structure at the bottom of the room; this can be destroyed with a Missile.

Missile Expansion

This one is higher up and requires use of the Spider Ball. It is found at the top of the Magnetic Rail, which starts on a ledge at the bottom.

Trivia

• The Plazmite found in this room has a special death animation, wherein it plummets to the ground, which is used no matter how it is killed.
• This room contains the data to spawn chunks of the unused Olbap creature, which would be used if it was killed by concussive weaponry. This almost certainly indicates that Olbaps were intended to appear in this room, until they were removed from the game.
• Map data refers to this room as "Monkey_Shaft", likely indicating a connection to the unused BloodMonkey character.
