Biography
Early life
At some point during the late 2000s, early 2010s, Franklin ended up experimented on by the Patriots, resulting in him becoming a cyborg. His left arm, in particular, was replaced with a cybernetic one, containing data from the Patriots.
After the Patriots' fall, he ended up joining Desperado Enforcement LLC., eventually rising up the ranks.

In 2018, Franklin was deployed to Guadalajara, Mexico, to guard one of their labs while they proceeded to remove various abducted children's brains for the Sears Program. A month after the first batch was completed, he and his unit were stationed in the UG maintenance lab to guard over it. He was eventually knocked out along with his entire unit by a renegade Dwarf Gekko sneaking up on them and using its electric gun on them, controlled by Maverick member Raiden remotely, trying to look for a data server. Raiden later arrived at the still-comatose Franklin and removed his arm, while also killing him in the process.
Behind the scenes
Franklin is a character in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, as well as one of thirty cyborgs to contain retrievable left arms in the game. He acted as the second cyborg commander in Chapter R-02. The player can achieve one of two ways to take his arm: attack Franklin and knock him out while using the Dwarf Gekko and then return as Raiden to remove the arm, or otherwise attack Franklin directly as Raiden after accessing the files in the data server. The former option will also require precision as it can result in the soldier being instantly killed afterwards. Franklin is the only high-ranking cyborg who can be knocked out instead of killed.
