Auri (アウリ Auri) is a supporting character who appeared in episodes 34 and 91. Auri is a distant relative of Madame Taki and is known for her explosive experiments. The episode that centers around her is episode 34.
History
Anime
Auri is determined to become a fortune teller like Taki because of what she read from a women's model magazine on a survey on how to attract men, so she lies to make Yuri and Eriru help her with special tasks Taki gives her. Hippo mentioned that Auri is an abalone. Yuri and Hippo's relationship is slightly shown when Hippo accidentally turns into human form and Yuri finds him. Later Auri snatches him away, saying how he's her type without knowing that he's Hippo. She appears in the last episode, along with the rest of the characters, to sing Legend of Mermaid.
Personality
Auri tends to act very child-like due to her young age. She is also very cunning since she tricked and lied to Yuri and Eriru to make them search for the black pearl for her.
Appearance
Auri has brown eyes and long brown hair that is tied into a ponytail. She is also short.
Full name
Her full name in Japanese is アウリ・スマリス (Auri Sumarisu). It doesn't have an official English translation, but it is commonly written as "Aurisumaris", "Aurismaris", "Auri Sumaris" or "Auri Smaris". All European dubs changed her full name to Auri Maris, except for Serbian and Greek, which call her Auri Smaris.
