The Torgas were an alien race that had existed thousands of years ago.

History and specifics

They were encountered by the Danons near the center of the galaxy. A young, energetic, and expansive species, a war broke out between both cultures, lasting several thousand years. It was unknown if the Torgas went extinct or if they, like the Danons, had survived on some removed planet in a neglected corner of the galaxy. The Torgas seemed to have been just slightly more savage than the Danons. They were described as being shaped like slugs with tentacles. (TOS novel: Devil World)

The conflict between the Danons and the Torgas is reminiscent of the conflict between the equally demonic Furies and the Unclean, roughly in the same era, although the Unclean are described as an insect-like species instead.
