Tomed

Tomed was a star system near the Romulan Neutral Zone, in the Alpha Quadrant. In the late 24th century, Tomed was on the Federation side of the Zone, in proximity with Arteline and the Scutum Cloud. (ST reference: Star Charts; Last Unicorn RPG module: The Way of D'era: The Romulan Star Empire)

The Romulan Star Empire presumably named the warbird IRW Tomed after this location. Because of that starship's place in history, the Tomed Incident and later vessel IRW Avatar of Tomed also bear the name. (TLE novel: Serpents Among the Ruins; TNG episode: "The Neutral Zone"; TOS novel: The Return)
