Parides IV

Parides IV was a planet, the fourth planet in the Parides system, located in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants. It was the homeworld of the Paridesian civilization.

History and specifics

In the 2270s, Parides IV was non-aligned, but strategically relevant to the Federation.

In 2276, Paridesian officials chose to open diplomatic relations with the Federation. The starship USS Enterprise was sent to Parides IV, bringing ambassador Alec Raymond. An urgent mission came up along the way, however, so Raymond, James T. Kirk, Spock, and Leonard McCoy ended up traveling there aboard the shuttlecraft Hoyle. The Enterprise later entered orbit to pick them up. (TOS - Untold Voyages comic: "Silent Cries")
