Kohlan

Kohlan is a star system, a trinary star consisting of three type F white stars located in the space of the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant, near the borders of the Ferengi Alliance.

History and specifics

It was located in the general vicinity of 15 Sagittae, 99 Herculis, Irtok, Kholfa, Ludugia, and Sigma Coronae Borealis. (ST reference: Star Charts)

Its system's orbit included Science Station 402. (TNG episode: "The Nth Degree")

In 2386, Historian Geoffrey Mandel included Kohlan in his star chart Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385, showing it between the territories of the Federation and Ferengi Alliance. (ST reference: Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library)

This might be the point of origin for Kohlanese barley and Quark's Kohlanese stew.
