Jix

Jix was a female Trill in the 24th century. She was appointed Trill's representative to the Federation Council in 2376, following the social and governmental upheaval on Trill following the revelations made that year about the Trill Symbiosis Commission.

In 2380, Jix was recommended by Z4 Blue and Ashanté Phiri for a seat on the government oversight council. Federation President Nanietta Bacco rejected this recommendation, citing Jix's short term of service and the manner in which she'd become a Federation Councillor. She was then suggested for the technology council, but that seat eventually went to C29 Green. (ST novel: Articles of the Federation)

It is probable, given the background established in DS9 - Worlds of DS9 - Volume Two novel: Trill: Unjoined, that Jix is an unjoined Trill.
