Haven

Haven was a Class M planet, one of the planets of the Beta Cassius system, located in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrant.

History and specifics

The USS Valiant made first contact with the humanoid inhabitants of Haven in the 24th century. Later, Captain Amanda Kincaid of the USS Fearless received the Shuvalis Diamond of Recognition for her work with Haven. (FASA RPG module: Star Trek: The Next Generation Officer's Manual)

In 2364, the USS Enterprise-D visited Haven to receive Lwaxana Troi and Steven Miller's family. They later prevented a Tarellian starship from landing on Haven and spreading the Tarellian plague to the planet's inhabitants. (TNG episode: "Haven")

Alternate universes

In one permutation of the mirror universe in which the Terran Empire survived into the 24th century, Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the ISS Enterprise-D also prevented the Tarellian ship from landing on Haven–by destroying it. (TNG novel: Dark Mirror)
