Doris Atkins was a female Human Starfleet officer who served aboard the USS Enterprise under the command of Captain James T. Kirk in the 2260s.
Biography
In 2267, Yeoman Atkins joined James T. Kirk, Spock, Dr. McCoy, Ensign Chekov, and Sulu as a member of the away team to planet Neolithia in the Horatian system. (TOS novel: Mission to Horatius)
Later that year, while Kirk was suffering from the rapid-aging epidemic which had wiped out the colonists in the Gamma Hydra system, he demanded a report from Yeoman Atkins which she had already given him. When Spock was forced to hold a court martial of Kirk, Atkins was called upon to relate this incident, implying a growing senility on the captain's part. (TOS episode & Star Trek 7 novelization: The Deadly Years)
Many years later, when Kirk relived experiences aboard the Enterprise in 2267 after entering the Nexus, he saw Atkins in a corridor on deck 17, along with Ryan Leslie and crewman Moody. (TOS - Crucible novel: The Star to Every Wandering)
- Her first name was cited in Mission to Horatius.
