Da'Kel II was a planet located in the Mempa sector of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant, the second planet in orbit of the Da'Kel star system. In the space of the Klingon Empire, Da'Kel II was a class O planet with turbulent rust-red iron oxide seas. This planet possessed several moons, of which Gion was the largest.
When the Klingons colonized the system, they largely ignored Da'Kel II in favor of the more temperate third planet, Da'Kel III. (TOS novel: Cast No Shadow)
