Commander Chulak was a Romulan military officer, renowned to future generations of galactic citizenry beyond Romulan borders.

In 2157, Chulak was the commanding officer of the IRW Raon when it engaged the Enterprise near Galorndon Core. The Enterprise was able to disable the Raon so Chulak had his ship ram the planet, killing all aboard the Raon and setting the planet ablaze. (ENT - The Romulan War novel: To Brave the Storm)
