Alpha I was a planet, an inhabited world and first planet of the Alpha Canaris (Sirius)[1] star system, located in 23rd century Federation space in the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. It was the site of a Federation colony by the 2220s decade. (SNW episode: "Strange New Worlds")
History and specifics
Alpha Canaris was a binary star system centered around Sirius and Shahr. The planets in this system were simply named Alpha and numbered accordingly. (FASA RPG module: The Federation)
La'an Noonien-Singh, a Human, was born on Alpha I on 8 December 2228. She later became the last survivor of the colony ship SS Puget Sound. (SNW episode: "Strange New Worlds")
