1908: United States Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall is born.
1937: Amelia Earhart mysteriously disappears during an attempt to circumnavigate Earth. Unknown at the time, Earhart and her navigator Fred Noonan were two of the approximately 300 humans abducted by the Briori and transported to the Delta Quadrant. (VOY episode: "The 37's")
1973: Actress Betty Grable dies.
1997: Actor James Stewart dies.
2068: Earth passes the Interstellar Commerce Act. (ST reference: Federation: The First 150 Years)

1980: The 4th installment of TOS comic: "Aberration on Abaris" is published in daily newspapers by the Los Angeles Times Syndicate.
1981: The 68th installment of TOS comic: "The Savage Within" is published.
1982: The 124th installment of TOS comic: "The Wristwatch Plantation" is published.
1983: The 48th and final installment of TOS comic: "Goodbye to Spock" is published.
