- In the Kelvin timeline Spock fights against other young Vulcans after they insulted his mother. After this became a physical fight and was then ended, Sarek told Spock that marrying Amanda was a decision based on logic instead of love. At a later point, Spock consulted with his mother on whether to pursure kolinahr. She reassured him of her pride in him, no matter the choice that he selected.[16]
