Events

Prototype heavily-armed Federation transport USS Flying Fortress is captured by Klingon forces in March, but is recaptured by Starfleet after a major battle.^[2]
The Federation establishes a colony on Merope IV. The initial colonists are mainly from the West African region of Earth.^[3]
Tyrtaeus II unwillingly joins the Federation after a border skirmish with a Romulan warbird.^[4]
Sobon resigned from his post at the Vulcan Science Academy in order to pursue other interests and continued his study of the mental arts. He attained the position of an adept and became a master of the mental healing arts with it often being noted that he wore simple robes that were typically worn by older healers as well as Kolinahr High Masters. Despite this, Sobon later rejected his title and position whereupon he began living as well as working as a simple healer at an isolationist village near the Llangon Mountains.^[5]
The credit became the Federation's standard currency unit in 2227.^[6]
