
An office or study was a workplace in a room inside a building.
High ranking officials used to have offices such as the Federation President or Starfleet flag officers. It normally featured a desk and models of various starships or space stations. (ENT: "Regeneration"; Star Trek Into Darkness; Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)
Admiral Maxwell Forrest had an office with view on the Golden Gate Bridge. (ENT: "Fortunate Son")
Doctor Tristan Adams had a study at the Tantalus Colony. (TOS: "Dagger of the Mind")
On Deneb IV, Groppler Zorn had an office with a wooden door. (TNG: "Encounter at Farpoint")
The commander's office was the "ready room" aboard Deep Space 9. It was located inside the operations center and divided by a door. Inside the office, a desk, a couch, and several monitors were found. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)
Jean-Luc Picard had a study at Château Picard when he lived there following his 2385 resignation from Starfleet. In 2399; FNN conducted its interview of him in the study. When he departed Earth aboard La Sirena shortly after, the ship's Emergency Hospitality Hologram rebuilt the study for him holographically from holo-scans provided by Zhaban.
