Background information

The name of the species initially only appeared in the end credits for "Lost and Found", with regards to the "Brikar language". According to her official Nickelodeon profile, Rok is Brikarian. [1] She was officially identified on-screen as a "Brikar" in "Asylum".

The Brikar species originated in non-canon Star Trek novels, with the character Zak Kebron first appearing in Worf's First Adventure by Peter David.

Krog, a character from LD: "The Best Exotic Nanite Hotel", was said to be a Brikar by the episode's director, Brandon Williams. [2] However, Star Trek: Lower Decks showrunner Mike McMahan and producer Brad Winters contradicted that, stating that he is a member of a different rock-like alien species. [3][4]
