Saranet (サラネット) is a bee enemy in Mega Man Zero 2. They appear in the Forest of Dysis, Forest of Notus, and the Temple of Wind. If they spot Zero they will make a beeline toward him. In the Forest of Dysis, oftentimes Saranets tend to swarm around a Bombnet.
Saranet also has a cameo appearance in Mega Man ZX as a toy in the giant crane game from Area H-3.
Variants
Bombnet
Bombnet (ボムネット) is an enemy in Mega Man Zero 2 with an explosive sting that can be dropped like a bomb. When it does, it becomes defenseless and flies away. It often appears surrounded by three Saranets. They appear in the Forest of Dysis and the Temple of Wind.
Mellnet
Mellnet is an enemy from Mega Man Zero 3, and usually comes out of Bee Server. For all intents and purposes, it's a sort of remake of Saranet, since both are bee-like enemies. They also appear as regular enemies in the Snowy Plains and the Forest of Anatre.
In addition, there are red and blue varieties that only appear in the "Mellnet Swatter" Minigame.
Appnet
Appnet is an enemy from Mega Man Zero 4. It is a bee-like enemy that appears when Noble Mandrago successfully hits Zero with nectar, which slows him down. Then Appnets will fly towards Zero and try to hit him with their stingers. Since they appear only during the boss battle, they don't drop items.
This enemy only can be added to the enemy database during the Underground Forest mission. For unknown reasons, if the player defeats Mandrago without being hit by the nectar attack in the first battle, it will not be included in the database when encountered during the boss fight with the resurrected Noble Mandrago in the Ragnarok Core mission.
It also appeared in the Mega Man ZX by Noble Mandrago's call.
