Recovery (リカバリー Rikabarī) is a recurring type of Battle Chip and Battle Card in the Mega Man Battle Network and Mega Man Star Force series. As the name implies, it recovers the health of the user. In most games they appear in eight varieties: Recovery 10, Recovery 30, Recovery 50, Recovery 80, Recovery 120, Recovery 150, Recovery 200, and Recovery 300. Rockman.EXE WS only has Recovery 20 and Recovery 60. There is also a Dark Chip named Dark Recovery that restores 1000 HP when used, but it contains the negative side effects of Dark Chips, like permanently dropping the maximum HP by 1 with each use.

Recovery can be countered with the Battle Chip Anti Recovery (バッドメディスン, Bad Medicine in Japan) and the Battle Card Poison Apple (ドクリンゴ Doku Ringo).

Repair (リペアー) is a Recovery type Battle Chip from Mega Man Battle Network 4 and Rockman EXE 4.5 Real Operation that fully restores the HP from an object in the field, like Stone Cube and Wind.

MegaMan NT Warrior

Recovery chips work differently in the anime due to a lack of any real HP system, though health points are talked about in the show. Recovery chips heal a Navi’s wounds, repairing their bodies if they have been damaged, and can even save them from near deletion, such as when Nenji Rokushakudama used dozens of Recovery chips to save Asteroid NapalmMan.EXE. Despite their uses Recovery chips for whatever reason are almost never used in the show, even when a Navi is damaged.
