"Meyer Ruby" (マイヤールビー Maiyā Rubī) is a special ruby from the Rockman X2 manga that is used as a power source for aquatic Reploids to prolonge their underwater activity. However, in the wrong hands, it can be used for weapons of mass destruction, having a high price in illicit trades. Bubble Crab was smuggling Meyer Rubies to become rich, but his operations were being hindered by Marty and her pirate crew, and came to an end when Bubble Crab was defeated by X. Bubble Crab's demise triggered the self-destruction system from his base, and all the Meyer Rubies he gathered were destroyed.

Etymology
Meyer is derived from the Hebrew הֵאִיר (he'ir), which means “to light up” and "illuminate".
