Escanail (エスカネイル) is a snail enemy that appears in the second Doppler stage from Mega Man X3. If they are hit once, their shells will be destroyed, leaving a pole sticking out of its back. X can then stand on this pole and ride the Escanail up a spiked wall without taking damage.

A Escanail appears alongside other X3 Maverick minions attacking the Neo Maverick Hunter Base in the Rockman X (manga).
Trivia
- A little glitch is that if Escanail's shell is destroyed when X uses Zero's Z-Saber with the Arm Part of the Third Armor equipped, it can neutralize any of the X-Buster shots that come in contact with the pole due to the cutting effect that the Z-Saber had on Escanail when the shell was destroyed.
- The enemy's name is a combination of the words "Escargot", which is french for "Snail", and the word snail itself.
