Vinegar Hill experienced a power outage when Doctor Doom siphoned power from the Con Edison Plant. Spider-Man was thrown through a Vinegar Hill apartment building after being ambushed by Doombots and subsequently met and befriended Owen after crashing in the young man's yard.[1]
