History
Terra Nueva is a South American country[2][1] on the Atlantic coast. It only has a land border with Argentina, but it is also close to Uruguay.[3]
In recent times, there was an illegal drug trade from Terra Nueva to the shores of Bayport, Florida, United States. Ships from Terra Nueva released divers, who reached pleasure yachts beyond US territorial waters, and concealed drugs aboard the US ships, hiding them inside life preservers. Members of the Terranuevan government were involved in this smuggling operation, receiving part of the illegal profits that they used to stay in power. A member of the Diplomatic Party from Terranueva, El Supremo, the most decorated hero in the country's history and a self-proclaimed force to be reckoned with in politics, was not involved in the operation and intended to gain control of it in order to obtain the money, and launch a coup, eliminating those responsible, who happened to be his political enemies. For this, El Supremo traveled to Bayport, stayed at the Pink Princess Hotel with his entourage, and hired the Heroes for Hire (Power Man and Iron Fist) to investigate in the American coast and discover the culprits, paying in advance and claiming to hope to avoid diplomatic incidents. The Supreme had Colleen Wing, a friend of the Heroes for Hire, kidnapped so as to threaten her and blackmail them into allowing him to continue with her plan; but the Heroes for Hire and Wing defeated El Supremo and his thugs in American soil. This prevented El Supremo's coup, and also ended the drug trafficking operation between Terra Nueva and Florida.[2]Residents

Notes
- The country Terra Nueva is mentioned in Power Man and Iron Fist #70 (1981), but does not appear visually in the story. The only image of Terra Nueva is on a map in Marvel Atlas #2 (2007).
- The Appendix in Marvel Atlas #2 calls the country "Terra Neuva", possibly due to a typo; while on the map the country is labeled "Terra Nueva", which is also the spelling used in Power Man and Iron Fist #70.
