Polynesia, in the southern Pacific Ocean is a region of Oceania made up of over 1,000 islands, including French Polynesia.
History
After being rejected from joining the newfound Atlantis by its first lords, a community of Homo mermani founded the Great Underwater Atoll of Maluhia in the Smoldering Sea (the South Pacific Ocean). As other such communities, collectively known as the Secret Seas, they interacted with the neighboring surface-dwellers, influencing one another. The people of Maluhia consequently share much in common with the indigenous cultures of the Polynesian Islands.[1]
